FLOO CALL: Hogwarts Library
*sound of clattering dishes*

HELLO? Can I please speak to Professor Lupin?

Hello love. And what do I owe this unexpected surprise in the middle of the day? Feeling a little lonely?

I am ALWAYS lonely without you!

*clatter clatter* I am also looking for our good china. Do we have good china?

Good china? Why in Merlin's name would you need the good china? Do you mean the blue porcelain, or the ones with the little birds and pastoral scenes?

I suppose I can safely assume you don't mean your mother's china with the silver snakes and green rushes with the Slytherin crest in the center.

We still have my MOTHER'S china? Bloody Godric, I'm finding that and using it for wand-target practice.

Shite... maybe we should use that instead when... that's the kind of thing they'd like, wouldn't they? No, no SOD that. I know! I'll GIVE it to them! They'll LOVE that and Harry will --

Oh, we're having the whole stinking mess of them to dinner. Don't know when. Harry will tell me. That's why we need the good china.

The whole stinking lot?

Sirius Black, are you referring to our Godson's family? The children, as well? And you're talking about giving Severus and Draco a thoughtful gift?

Hang on a moment. I think I need a sit-down here.

That is you, darling, and not someone disguised to look like you?

NO. It's me, Moony! Can't you tell by my charismatic eyes and sexy voice?

But yes. All of them. We're to be friends now. Harry put his foot down. Well, not FRIENDS, but we must be polite and ... things.

I'm not allowed to stab either of them with the carving knife. That counts, right?

Sirius, I am very proud of you, you know. I've been hoping you'd come around at some point.

I'll tell you what, though. Harry won't be satisfied with just a gesture or two. If you're not genuine, he'll know it. He's a very sensitive man like that.

And what's even worse for you is that if you're serious enough about this, you might just realize that you and Severus have a lot more in common than you'd care to acknowledge. Not to mention certain similarities I have with Draco.

I AM SIRIUS ENOUGH FOR ANYTHING! HA!

I am going to have to watch Severus Snape EAT. If that's not genuine, I don't know what is.

SIRIUS! Behave!

And if you behave when they come to dinner, I might just offer you something special for dessert.

Blueberry trifle? HA!

No, I already promised Harry I'd behave. That's the whole point of this silly exercise. In return, he promised to make sure Snape and the little mag -- I mean Malfoy behave as well.

We are all going to be polite and civil to each other if it kills us. And it might.

At least the Wortlet will enjoy seeing the other children.

Not to mention your loving partner. I've missed them all, believe it or not! And just the thought of not being allowed to watch the baby grow up?

Come on, it will be fun.

Well, I, for one, cannot wait! It will be good to see all of them again. Perhaps we ought to go all out. Roast beef? Or shall we order a goose?

Well, I wouldn't mind seeing little Lil. It's good to know that compared to her, Wort isn't spoiled at all! And I'm sure the infant doesn't look quite like a mandrake root anymore.

It's spring! We must have lamb and new potatos and peas and lettuce and mint sauce. I'll tell the elf.

Merlin, but I'm hungry. Can you skive off the rest of the afternoon? I'll pick up some pasties and butterbeer and we can picnic by the Lake!

To be perfectly honest, I don't think Irma would even notice. I've been reorganizing the History of Magic section, and I'm likely to get lost in the stacks if I don't take a little recess here and there.

Fine. I'll meet you down by the lake. We can plan our elegant dinner party! Oh, and why not have Wort bring along her fishing things? Perhaps she can catch us something for dinner?

Brilliant! And I'll bring a kite and the fizbee and the Best Ball.

...are you sure you'd want to eat anything from Hogwarts Lake? I ate some kind of eel from there a while ago and sicked up all over your...

ah, never mind.

Yes, well, properly cooked and cleansed, I'm sure...

Hmmm. Perhaps we ought to pop 'round and buy a couple of trout to have on hand just in case she *does* catch something.

We're on our way! Give Irma a peck on the cheek for me. Watch her blush! HA!
