Moony! Merlin's balls, mate, what are you doing here? The moon's in two days!

YOU!

You... you dare ask me...

What the hell do you think I'm doing here? Worried sick! Only a note. Teacup! TEACUP!? Really? RUSSIA!?

But... but... Ron! I told you -- I left you a note! We have to stop him -- come on, he went this way!

You... chasing after.

NO! You listen. Come here! No. Stay back. I'm... I'm...

... There are not words yet created to describe how angry I am right now.

Breathe, Remus... stop pacing and breathe...

(through gritted teeth)
You left me behind.

Left you? I was --

Oh, mate! That's brilliant! You've been ill for so long -- I should have known better. I should have known now that you're well you'd want to come help. We can still grab him if we hurry!

Ron is -- he thinks the war is still on. I KNOW how that feels, Moony. I had to come, don't you see?

You're coming home with me now.

Let the Aurors do their job, and... and...

I can't believe you'd do that! No, wait. I can believe it. That's just the way you are, right? Off on a chase without a thought?

Now... move it! We're going home.

I AM an Auror! Or I was... perhaps I still am. Ne'ermind -- I am not leaving until I've settled Ron down. He almost killed a Muggle before I stopped him, Moony! HE TRUSTS ME!

You are NO LONGER an auror, you're a... a... VERY NAUGHTY DOG!

LEAVE HIM TO THE AURORS! They will take care of him.

Oh, don't you dare back away from me, you...

Immobilus

... are coming home with me.

Sirius Orion Black...

*Oof*

You are not to leave me again, do you hear me? I don't care if it's your brother or Artemesia, or if you see James Potter running down the street. You do not leave the country without me.

*sigh*

What am I going to do with you? Wort's having a nice visit at Lake Cottage, playing with Draco and the children, I suspect. I believe we ought to take this opportunity to go over some ground rules, don't you?

YOU LEFT OUR WORT WITH THAT MAGGOT? YOU LET ME UP RIGHT NOW OR... OR...

Or what? Or you'll toss me out? Or you'll hex me?

First off, he's not a maggot. None of them are. They are wizards, Sirius, and Malfoy, for all his faults, is a good father. So is Harry. And So is Severus, much to your dismay, I'm sure.

Oh yes, she's with them, and I'm sure she'll come home with all sorts of terrible knowledge of potions! Oooh, what a horrible thing to do to a child!

Perhaps if you hadn't run off in such haste, we might have been able to make some other arrangements.

So, do you want me to carry you to the train station or would you prefer I levitate you?

You know I'd never hex you, mate, nor toss you out. That's bollocks. And it's not the bloody potions! Well, mostly...

Shite. Those bastards, they're all such bastards, and they're walking the streets of Russia eating beets without a care in the world and they're playing gobstones with our daughter and ...

I know how Ronald feels. And I'm tired, Moony.

I know, love.

But you have to let it go. Your temper and refusal to compromise is costing us dearly. I know it's in your nature. I know there's nothing we can do about it, but... just take me with you. As long as I'm with you, there will be at least one of us with a cool head, okay?

Now... what to do? I suppose I could let you go, but then what would happen to my cushion here? And I rather like having you at my mercy.

Still, it would be easier if you could walk.

*pulls out a lead*

Your choice. We go walkies, or I carry you princess-style.

Can I get up now?

Oh, Merlin! I didn't think bones could creak like that.

Come on, Don Quixote. Let's go save our princess. And you're going to be civil. No, correct that, you're going to be nice to them.

We'll stop off and buy them a bottle of wine, some Russian tea, and a lacquer box for them. Something tasteful you can give them as a "thank you" present for taking care of Wort while we were off on this jaunt.
